Service, Classes, & Childcare

Here you will find descriptions of everything that happens on a Sunday. Each provides a unique opportunity to fellowship with the church and grow in the knowledge of the Lord. We invite you to join us early before Sunday School starts at 10:00 to take advantage of a time of fellowship, snacks, and coffee.

Worship Service - 11:00 am

The worship service starts at 11:00 am and typically ends around 12:00 pm. It is simple in style, influenced by southern gospel and bluegrass, and simple in dress, so there’s no need to fret about what to wear. Though we are not a large church, you’ll find a diverse group of people who range from their 20’s to their 80’s. We strive to be warm and welcoming no matter who comes and only want to extend the grace that God has shown to us in the gospel. At the heart of our meeting is the conviction that God breathes life into his people through his word. That is why we strive to make our time together a Word-saturated worship; where we read the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word, and preach the Word. We practice communion at the end of the month, every other month starting in January. Childcare is provided.

Sunday School - 10:00 am

Sunday School is a time to study the Word of God together before we meet as a congregation. Currently, we follow a curriculum published by LifeWay and have two primary classes. The adult class ranges widely from people typically in their 40’s to those in their 70’s and meets in our old sanctuary. The young adult class ordinarily consists of those in their 20’s and 30’s and meets in our fellowship hall. We have classes for children and for teens and provide nursery care during this time as well.

Bible Study - 6:30 pm

Instead of a Sunday night service, we gather together for an hour-long member-led Bible study. This is a more laid-back time where we can study Scripture together, ask deeper questions, and enjoy a sweet time of fellowship. The studies generally cover many topics, from a book of the Bible, to aspects of church life, to important current issues. On certain Sunday evenings we may spend time doing outreach in our community. Regardless, it is a great time to get to know one another and delve deeper into Scripture.
